Ohio Historical Society’s Annual Heirloom Plant Sale
April 26th through May 4th

It’s here again! The annual Ohio Historical Society’s Annual Heirloom Plant Sale. These plants are grown at historic Adena Mansion and Gardens in Chillicothe. There’s a wide variety of heirloom tomatoes, herbs, annuals, perennials, with a wide variety of planters available during the sale. Presale is now through March 31, with walk up sales at the Ohio Historical Society on May 3rd and 4th, ant at Adena daily April 26th through May 4th

FRED HOWER As “The Ohio Nurseryman,” Fred Hower has over 45 years experience as a horticultural consultant, certified arborist and landscape designer. A graduate of The Ohio State University, he teaches in the horticulture department at Columbus State Community College. In addition to hosting ‘Plant Talk,’ he’s written more than 400 columns in 90 newspapers and has made frequent guest appearances on television. He recently received the “Distinguished Contribution Award” from the Ohio Nursery and Landscape Association, and is co-author of the newly published “Tree and Shrub Gardening for Ohio.” Fred works as a horticultural design consultant for residential and business properties. He is a guest speaker at numerous gardening events throughout Ohio each year
